US OTCMKTS: UAMA
Established in 1992, United American Corporation (UAC) has a long history in the development and exploitation of new and disruptive technologies.
In 2003 the company was one of the first to enter seriously into the Voice-over-IP (VoIP) sphere. VoIP was then considered a fringe technology by the telecommunications industry and not worthy of serious consideration. Management at UAC thought differently and soon UAC, through a newly established subsidiary, Teliphone Inc., became one of the main VoIP providers in Quebec, Canada. Teliphone Inc. was eventually spun off into its own public company, eventually evolving into a private company, Teliphone Navigata-Westel Communication Inc., one of Canada’s largest independent facilities-based Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC). UAC was also instrumental in the development of the New York Telecom Exchange, the world’s first commodity exchange for international call termination.
Management’s commitment to UAC has been consistent and steadfast. Since 2003 UAC has had a large amount of common management and management has always maintained a majority position in the company and still hold approximately 80% of the company as restricted investment stocks since issuance. The management team remains committed to the growth and development of United American Corporation
